 |
Congratulations to all involved on an excellent completion of the Reconnecting to Country project! Community working groups and Aboriginal elders gathered for a 'Grand Tour' of all local project sites on the 4th and 5th March. Cultural events were held at Wilsons Creek, Bangalow Park, Dorrobee Grass, Rosebank, Corndale and Slaters Creek North Lismore and celebrated local ecological and cultural regeneration projects. The three year project was funded by the NSW Environmental Trust, implemented by local community volunteers in the Wilsons River catchment and managed by Sustainable Futures Australia, Rous Water and Widjabul people of the Bundjalung Nation.
